Sarah Sue Corliss

Sarah Sue Beatty Corliss, age 76, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center and formerly of Meadville, PA passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born October 24, 1940 in Commodore, PA the daughter of the late Albert Leroy Beatty and June Mumau Beatty.  She married Robert Corliss on May 23, 1969.  He preceded her in death on February 7, 2009. Sarah was a 1958 graduate of Saegertown Area Senior High School.  She had worked at Burger King and had previously worked at Art’s Restaurant. She had attended the Faith United Methodist Church in Geneva Sarah is survived by five sisters: Dolores B. Henry and her husband Donald of Cambridge Springs, Lenora Jean Anthony and her husband Carl of Cochranton, Ruth Ann Dooley and her husband Richard of Meadville, Laura Eileen Beatty of Meadville, and Beverly Lynn Ridenauer of Geneva, Florida, two brothers: James William Beatty and his wife Martha of Terre Haute, IN and Allen Leroy Beatty and his wife Marilyn of Greenville, PA, her sister-in-laws: Janet Beatty of Saegertown, Dorothy Bailey of Cochranton, Cindy Kline and her husband Doug of Cochranton, brother in law: William Corliss and his wife Millie of Atlantic.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews and by her family at the Crawford County Care Center. In addition to her parents and her husband, Sarah was preceded in death by two brothers: Gerald Albert Beatty, and Dale O. Beatty, two sister-in-laws: Marion Gray and Edith Roberts, and two brother-in-laws Charles Corliss and Darwin Ridenauer. Family and friends are welcome to call on Monday, from  6 PM until time of the funeral service at 8 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, with Pastor Richard Haemer of the Saegertown Community Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
