Shirley Bailey

Shirley Ann (Tenney) Bailey, 74, of Guys Mills, PA passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Embassy of Park Avenue in Meadville, PA.  She was born on November 20, 1948 in Meadville, PA to the late Vernon S. Tenney and Mary (Stauffer) Tenney.  Shirley married Frederick Paul Bailey on April 26, 1969.  He passed away on November 5, 2003. They loved playing bingo and socializing with family and friends.

Shirley was a 1967 graduate of Meadville Area High School. She was an assistant manager of Red Barn in Meadville and later a cook at several restaurants in the Meadville area before retiring from the Kmart restaurant.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Smith; her granddaughter, Karly Hannold and her husband, Nathan and her sister, Pauline Hunt.

In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Esther Ernewein; her brothers, John Tenney and Vernon Tenney Jr. and a son-in-law, Russell Smith.

Per the family’s request, services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
