Shirley J. Guntz

Shirley J. Guntz passed away December 7, 2018. She was born October 10, 1936 in Lavelle, PA. The daughter of the late Walter and Grace (Stitzer) Hummel. She married Fredrick J. Guntz on September 14, 1957. He preceded her in death March 3, 2008. Shirley is survived by two daughters, June and her husband Jose Concepcion Sr. of Meadville, PA and Barbara and her husband John Vessels of Coal Township. Also survived by four grandchildren Jose Concepcion Jr. of Meadville, PA, Jason Concepcion of Meadville, PA, Denise and her husband Rafel George of Maryland and Donovan Rodriguez and his fiancé Amy of Shamokin, PA and also survived by two great-granddaughters, Chloe Concepcion of Meadville, PA and Izabella Rodriguez of Shamokin, PA.Preceded in death by her infant grandson Daniel A. Concepcion and also her infant great-grandson Aidan J. Rodriguez.Shirley was also preceded in death by her Aunt and Uncle Clara and Kurt Dillman who raised her.And also was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Ida M. Guntz and Shirley’s beloved dog Chico.The family would like to thank the Rolling Fields Elder Care community, especially Dogwood Street for their loving care they gave her. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Greendale Cemetery in Meadville, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to HATHEWAY-TEDESCO FUNERAL HOME, 614 BALDWIN ST., MEADVILLE, PA.
