Shirley Smith

Shirley McHenry Smith, age 81, of Washington State, formerly Crawford County, passed away at her Guys Mills residence surrounded by family and friends on Monday August 31, 2020.  She was born on July 10, 1939 in Falls Creek, PA to the late Joseph G. and Mary Jane (Murray) McHenry.  She married James Oliver Smith.  He preceded her in death.

Shirley was a hard-working woman all of her life.  She was of the Catholic faith.  She was a former member of the Eagles Club of Meadville.   She loved crocheting and baking for EVERYONE.

She is survived by her three children, Robyn Thompson and her husband, Jim of AZ, Brett Alan Winsor and his wife, Kendra of WA and James Brennan Smith and his wife, Mary of Guys Mills, PA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; one brother, Jack McHenry and his wife, Joan of NJ; three sisters, Helen Shoffner of Meadville, PA, Ellen McHenry of SC and Judy Young of SC and many, many others who called her mom.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Brenda Winsor and her partner in life, Dewayne Shumaker.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
