Steve “Giant” Wilson, 70, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 13, 1953, in Franklin and graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1971, he was a beloved son of the late Ruth (Adams) Wilson Eakin. Uniquely gifted in his work, Steve became well-known in the tool and die industry of Northwest PA. Riding Harleys, boating, and camping with family at Tionesta brought him endless joy, as did creating and building with his hands. Now, he is survived by his wife (Lisa), his three siblings (Dan, Terri, and John), his three children (Stephen, Corey, and Alissa), his granddaughter Vivian, extended family, a dedicated group of friends, and many chosen children. One of his final wishes was to have no formal service, wanting instead to be remembered as he lived — a giant among men. Never to be forgotten, Steve’s kindness and love will be missed by all who knew him. Everyone who wishes to honor his memory may make a direct donation to a local family who is affected by ALS, ABATE, or an animal shelter near you.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.
