Stephen Ellsworth Yanc

Stephen Ellsworth Yanc, age 60, of Meadville, PA passed away at UPMC- Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh on Sunday, December 8, 2013. He was born November 12, 1953 in Meadville, PA, the son of Stephen and Barbara (Briggs) Yanc. He married Cyndia Jayne Jackard on May 11, 1974. She survives. He graduated from Soccastee High School in South Carolina. He had been employed at Channellock Inc for 23 years and worked presently as a private contractor. He was a 10 year veteran of the United States Air Force. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a longtime member of the VFW Post 2006. He loved deer hunting and doing home improvements. He enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cyndia Yanc of Meadville, PA , two daughters, Allyon Stanford and her husband Robert of Ferrum, Virginia, and Teddy Yanc of Meadville, PA, five grandchildren; Clayton Stanford, Cooper Stanford, Jax Stanford, Sophie Herbe and Chevi Herbe; two sisters, Deborah Rogers and her husband, Bob of Meadville, PA, and Sandra Hensley of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Norman Yanc and his wife, Jessie of Meadville, PA and Freddy Yanc of Meadville, PA. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stephen and Babara Yanc, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Toni Ann Yanc.
