Steven Elmen

Steven Charles Elmen, age 58, of Guys Mills, PA passed away tragically on March 13, 2021.  He was born on April 29, 1962 to the late Charles Elmen and Donna Lee (Crist) Elmen. He married the love of his life, Tracey Ann Baumgardner on April 14, 1999.  After spending 31 years together, she preceded him in death on March 12, 2016.

Steve attended Meadville Area Senior High School. He worked for many years at Meadville Redevelopment Authority and was most recently employed by Scott’s Heating and Air.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending his days fishing, hunting, camping, going on trips on his Harley, watching Gold Rush shows, and enjoying coffee in the morning at Norma’s store.  Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren sharing his wisdom. Friends and family would describe him as one of the good ones and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his mother, Donna Marley and her husband, Patrick of Meadville, PA; four children, Shawn Elmen of Guys Mills, PA, Jamie Dougherty and her husband, Timothy of Townville, PA, Brandon Elmen of Guys Mills, PA and Dustin Elmen of Meadville, PA; three grandchildren, Ava Kiser, Emma Dougherty and Isabella Faivre; three sisters, Cheryl Morse and her husband, David of WA, Kathy Elmen and her significant other, Paul Brown of Saegertown, PA and Michelle Black of Meadville, PA and nieces and nephews, Kristen Thompson, Jesse, Mark, Stephanie and Cole Morse.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Victor and Dorothy Crist, his father and his beloved wife.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday March 19, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  A service will be held at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Brenda Loucks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in c/o Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home.
