Tammy S. Mowris

Tammy Mowris, age 61, of Meadville, passed away peacefully January 9, 2019 at Marquette Hospice House.  She was born November 10, 1957 in Meadville to the late Edgar Lake and Shirl (Smock) Boring.  Tammy was a graduate of Greenville High School.  She was employed as a tour operator with Preferred Casino Tours of Pittsburgh, PA and as a front desk receptionist at EconoLodge in Meadville.  She enjoyed spending time in the sun and traveling.  Tammy is survived by her mother, Shirl Boring of Meadville; a daughter, Santana Mechtenberg and her husband, Eric of Gibsonia, PA; a son, Cody Mowris of Myrtle Beach, SC; a grand-dog, Sookie; one sister, Sharon Smock of Ohio; four brothers, Robert Lake of Jamestown, PA, Donald Lake and his wife, Beverly of Linesville, PA, Erick Boring and his fiancé Moe of West Virginia and Matthew Boring of Virginia.  She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Lake and her step-father, Doug Boring. Friends and family are invited to call Saturday January 12 from 2-4 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory in Conneaut Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Marquette Hospice House, 766 Liberty St. Meadville, PA 16335.
