Terry D. Payne

Terry Dale Payne, age 79, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on August 13, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1946 in Girard, PA to the late Dale T. and Jean M. (Sedler) Payne. He married Sandra Pauline Cottrell on October 3, 1989. She survives.

Terry earned his high school diploma on August 13, 1982. He served in the US Navy on the USS Hunley. After the military, he worked as an over the road trucker. He also drove a cement truck for Francis of Andover, OH and hauled Amish.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Terry enjoyed playing pool, fishing, working on vehicles, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and playing with his beloved dog, Tigress. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Payne of Arcadia, FL, Jolene Rossey and her husband, Norman of Meadville,PA and Burlene McCune of Meadville, PA; his grandchildren, Destiny Mattocks of Erie, PA, Dustin Mattocks and Gavin Locke of North Fort Myers, FL and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Payne of Arcadia, FL.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Richard Brandt; his brother, Thomas Payne; his sisters, Linda Cottrell and Marcia Payne and his dog, Tigress.

As per his wishes there will be no public services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
