Tex Shellenberger, age 65, formally of Meadville, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Rolling Fields Elder Care. He was born on July 19, 1951 in Conneaut Lake, the son of the late William Max Shellenberger and Lois Jean Wolfkiel Shellenberger. Tex graduated from Conneaut Lake High School. He and his mother co-owned Sharky’s Exit 35, in Cochranton, PA. Tex enjoyed being around his animals. He loved music, cooking, and entertaining friends. It gave him great pleasure to travel to Hawaii with his mother before her passing. Tex is survived by a sister: Brenda Shellenberger and her wife Debra Alford of Meadville, PA, an aunt: June Wolfkiel of Chippewa Falls, WI, a niece: Quyn Shellenberger-Alford of Meadville, PA, a nephew: Beau Brubaker and his partner Robert Barcio of Erie, PA, and his beloved dog Princess. Tex is further survived by several cousins. In addition to his parents, Tex was preceded in death by a sister Kathy Jean Shellenberger. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1 PM, in the Den at Rolling Fields Elder Care, Conneautville, PA.
