Thomas Clair Mcgranahan

Thomas Clair McGranahan, age 97, of Atlantic, passed away Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Meadville Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1915 at Kennard, PA, the son of Victor J. and Esther Smock, Mc Granahan. Thomas married Edna Dail Mushrush on February 5, 1937, she preceded him in death on May 24, 1995. He was a welder, and a farmer, having retired from the Greenville Steel Car, and the McGranahan Farm; and was a member of the Fallowfield United Methodist Church. Tom enjoyed hunting, and traveling out West and to Florida with his wife. He is survived by two sons: Robert C. McGranahan of Atlantic, and Victor D. (Paige) McGranahan of Sheakleyville. Also surviving are many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mr. McGranahan was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a daughter Edna Mae Bradway; five sisters: Hazel Louise Schuman, Helen Leona McGranahan, Ada McDonald, Ethel Minnis, Frances Unger; and four brothers: John, Clarence, Virgil, and Victor (all McGranahan). Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 from 4 PM to 7Pm. A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2013, with Pastor Dave Brumagin of the Trinity United Methodist Church Officiating, all at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 North Second Street, in the Village at Conneaut Lake, Rocco R. Tedesco III, Supervisor Interment will take place in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
