Thomas Wig

Thomas Wig, age 84, of Centerville, PA passed away on Friday May 19, 2023.  He was born on March 21, 1939 in Titusville, PA to the late Herman and Helen (Freedham) Wig.  He married Rowena Steadman on August 15, 1959.  She passed in October 2022.  They were married for 63 years.

Thomas served as a Sergeant in the US Army as a 151 Howitzer crew chief.  He was a carpenter all of his life.  He attended New Beginnings Church of Meadville.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, traveling, especially driving his truck and going to Lake Erie and the peninsula.

He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Cox and her husband, Denny of Guys Mills, PA and his son, Steve Wig and his wife, Valerie of Titusville, PA; five grandchildren, Ashley Alabran and her husband, Jeremy of Meadville, PA, Megan Mead and her husband, Dalton of Linesville, PA, Scott Wig and his wife, Ariel of Butler, PA, Jesse Wig and his wife, Marissa of Pittsburgh, PA and Jami Starrett and her husband, Josh of Pittsburgh, PA and seven great grandchildren.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and his brothers, Bill Wig and Bob Wig and his sister, Ginny Wig.

There will be private services held at the convenience of the family.
