Timothy Richard Buzza

Timothy R. Buzza, age 68 of Meadville, PA died Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Meadville Medical Center, Transitional Care Unit, following a period of declining health. Timothy was born on February 14, 1945, in Meadville, PA, the son of the late Richard and Anita (Watson) Buzza. He married Martha Findlay on November 26, 1966. She preceded him in death on December 17, 2008. He was a graduate of Meadville High School. He was employed as a laborer with Laborers International Union of North America, Local 964, New Castle, PA. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, with a rank of Engineman Third Class, having served in Vietnam. He was the recipient of the Combat "V", Navy Commendation Medal , and received his Citation from E.R. Zumwalt, Jr. Vice Admiral, U S Navy, Commander U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post 2006, Meadville, PA. Timothy enjoyed the casinos, loved visiting Las Vegas, NV, and enjoyed the family vacations in Ocean City and to Trout Camp. Timothy is survived by a daughter, Teresa Marie Buzza of Meadville, PA; a son, Tracy Richard Buzza and his wife, Julie of Blooming Valley, PA; four grandchildren, Trey John Marin, Journey Marie Marin, Chelsea Kightlinger, and Carressa Kightlinger; a brother, Michael Buzza and his wife, Kathy of Meadville, PA; several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann Barnes and her husband, Howard of Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville. The Memorial Service will follow at 7 PM, on Friday, with Pastor David Brumagin, of Meadville Medical Center, Pastoral Care, officiating.
