Vera Johnson

Vera May Johnson, age 83 of Meadville, PA passed away at Wesbury United Methodist Community on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 Vera was born April 12, 1931 in Meadville, PA the daughter of the late William Robert Ramsey and the late Alice Lavina Johnson. Vera had attended Meadville High School. She had been employed at Joe's Superette, Lincoln Market, and the L & M Market and at Lobue's Grocery. She was of the Methodist Faith. Vera loved the time she spent with her family and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, playing cards and loved animals. She also liked to do embroidery. She is survived by a daughter; Mildred M. Dixon and her husband Allan of Meadville, PA, two grandchildren; Tammy L. Boratyn and her husband Thomas of Meadville, PA, and Charity A. Rodgers and her companion Victor Hatlestad of Saegertown, PA, five great-grandchildren; Samantha Boratyn, Kimberly Boratyn, Michael Boratyn, Christopher Meyrick and Ashley Meyrick. She is further survived by three nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Joseph E. Lahew, a sister Ethel L. Phillips and her husband, William, her daughter; Andrea Johnson-Martin and her companion, John A. Martin. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
