Verna L Burt

Verna is a 1942 graduate of Cochranton High School; she attended community college in Melbourne, Florida. She moved to Melbourne in 1974, returning to Meadville in 2004 to live with her niece, Diane. She married Ivan Burt, he preceded her in death in 1994. She was a secretary at Talon for 28 years. While in Melbourne she worked at Harris. She attended church at the clubhouse at Tropical Haven in Melbourne and attended First Christian Church of Meadville. She joined Beta Sigma Phi in April 1949 in Meadville as a charter member of Ritual of Jewels Delta Delta Chapter. She transferred her membership to Florida in 1974 and is will a member to this day. She belonged to the Wally Byham Airstream Club. She was an avid Bridge player and loved to square dance. While in Florida, she volunteered at the King Center.
