Verna M. Waid

Verna M. Waid, age 94, of Meadville, PA, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born December 20, 1918 in Cranesville, Pennsylvania. She married Frederick E. Waid in November of 1953. He preceded her in death on August 6, 2010. She graduated from Academy High School. She had also owned a restaurant in Saegertown, Pennsylvania from 1959 until 1964. She was a member of the Meadville Alliance Church. She is survived by two sons, Scott Snyder of Bullhead, Arizona, and David Snyder and his wife, Peggy of Waterford, PA, a step-son, Fred Waid and his wife, Gloria of Clewiston, Florida, and by a step-daughter, Beverly Brest and her husband Rodney of Meadville, PA. She is further survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Snyder and by a brother, Vincent and a sister Donna. There will be no calling hours. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township.
