Violet Pratt

Violet H. Pratt, age 92, of Meadville, PA passed away on Sunday April 6, 2025 at Embassy of Park Avenue. She was born on June 24, 1932 in Woodcock Township, PA to the late Frank N. and Myrtle E (Hetfield) Kuhn. She married F. Morris Pratt on June 28, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2017.

Violet was a 1950 graduate of Saegertown High School. She took several courses for insurance through Penn State. She worked at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance, Kings Jewelry and Mellon Bank, where she retired from.

She was a member of United Stone Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of Navy Mother’s Club #747, a past member of Kerrtown-Fredericksburg PTA, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a Cub Scout leader and a lifetime member of Vernon Township Firemen’s Auxiliary.

Violet is survived by her children, Gloria Reichel and her husband, William of Florence, KY and Gregory M. Pratt and his wife, Juanita “Jane” of Helotes, TX; grandchildren, Christoper J. Reichel and his wife, Maranda of Florence, KY, Zachary A. Reichel and his wife, Kaitie of Hope Mills, NC; step grandchildren, Sabrina Perez and her husband, Rick of Conroe, TX and Rene Olalde of Las Vegas, NV; great grandchildren ,Noah and Madison Reichel of Florence, KY and Aiden and Aurora Reichel of Hope Mills, NC, Rene, Isabella, and Roman Perez of Conroe, TX and a great great grandson, Samuel Perez of Conroe, TX; her sister, Carol Sokac of Meadville, PA;  sister- in-law, Georgia Kuhn of Tucson, AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a twin sister at birth; her sister, Nancy Gable; brother, Frank Jerry Kuhn; brothers- in-law, Art Gable and John Sokac and an uncle, Robert M James and his wife, Leora.

A Private graveside service will be held at Venango Cemetery.
