Vivian Irene Hunter Stoltz, age 88 of Meadville, PA, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. Born in Erie, PA, December 25, 1925, she was a daughter of the late James Glenn Hunter and Eunice Harrah Hunter. She graduated from East High School in 1943. She had a career in the accounting field and ran the family Heating & Ventilating business with her husband. She was involved in creating a credit union, serving on its board. After many years she retired from The Crawford County Courthouse as its Director of Finance. She was an active Presbyterian, most recently a member of Gravel Run Presbyterian Church in Woodcock, PA. She enjoyed genealogy & gardening. She was a member of numerous garden clubs over the years, becoming a Life-Time Federated Flower Show Judge. A member of the Mayflower Society and The Daughters of American Revolution, and served as a regent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert R. Stoltz, Sr., her sister June Veroneau and two brothers, John and David Hunter. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Day and her husband, Harry, of Conneautville, PA, and her three sons Robert R. Stoltz, Jr and his wife, Robin, of Beaufort, SC; William E. Stoltz and his wife, Simone, of Parrish, FL; and Thomas H. Stoltz of Smithfield, RI. Also, Vivian had 10 grandchildren, Daniel Greenawalt; Brian Greenawalt and his wife, Samantha; Mary Bartlett, Larissa Garza and her husband, Ray; Allison Hindman and her husband Billy; Cameron Stoltz; Matthew Stoltz and his wife, Michelle; Evan Stoltz, Meghan Stoltz and Jason Stoltz; and 12 great-grandchildren. Vivian is also survived by a sister, Barbara Hordusky and her husband, Roger of The Villages, Florida Calling hours will be Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Gravel Run Presbyterian Church, Route 86, Woodcock, PA. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Donald Gordon officiating. Refreshments and fellowship with family and friends will follow the service.
