Walter Myers

Walter Myers passed away on June 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

Walter was born on May 19, 1944 to Ivan and Lillian (Baylie) Myers at his home in Woodcock Township.  He graduated from Saegertown High School in 1963.  He had many different jobs in his lifetime.  However, he preferred and enjoyed spending time in nature and quality time with family and friends.

Walter had 44 wonderful years with his wife, Cathy Manross, whom he married on May 13, 1979 in Richmond Township.  They were with each other through all of life’s ups and downs.  He instilled in his family to respect nature, be kind to others, care about one another and love people to the fullest.

Walter is survived by his brothers, John, Daniel and Kenneth (Carol) Myers and his sister-in-law, Beverly Myers; his wife, Cathy and their children, Francis (Jay) Morris, Rebecca (Andrew) Funk and Robin (David) Oakes; his first wife, whom he was married to for 13 years, Carol Bowes and their children, John (Dawn) Myers, David (Tammy) Myers, Thomas (Tabitha) Myers and Cynthia (Jeff) Hill along with 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Walter is greeted in death by his parents; his siblings, Herman, Robert, Arthur and Dorothy Myers and his grandson, Trevor Austin Myers.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Crawford County Hospice and Meadville Medical Center for their care and support during this time.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date at the family’s convenience.
