Warren C. Aylsworth

December 20, 1942 — May 30, 2019

Warren “W” C. Aylsworth, age 76, of Meadville, passed away peacefully at Crawford County Care Center surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 30, 2019, following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born December 20, 1942 in Meadville to the late, Roland Bayard and Barbara Ethel (Marhoefer) Aylsworth.  He married Christine Steiger January 15, 1994.  She survives.

After serving four years in the United States Air Force in security service in both Germany and Alaska, Warren went on to work for Hughson Chemical in Saegertown, which later became known as LORD Corporation.  He retired from there as a Supervisor of Inventory Control after 41 years of service.

Warren was well known in the community for his love of bowling and golf.  He was commonly referred to as “The Legend” throughout his bowling career for his ability to bowl both right and left handed perfect games.  He held many state and local championship titles.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Chris include his daughter, Tanya and her husband, Tommy Nagel and their daughter, Alaina all of Mars, PA; his son, Brian and his wife, Jody Aylsworth and their sons, Jarrett and Taylor and Taylor’s son, Sutton, all of Meadville.  He is further survived by his twin brother, William and his wife, Lynetta of Saegertown; and his sister, Sandra Clancy of Meadville.  He is survived by many in-laws that he was very close to. Sisters-in-law, Noreen Lee and Dorothy Collins and her husband, Dale; his brother-in-law, Fred Steiger and his wife, Jeanette; and many other family members.

Friends and family are invited to call Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA.  There will be calling hours from 10:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the funeral home with a service at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Alice McClymonds officiating.  Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post 2006.
