Wayne Anthony See, age 84 of Hartstown, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2021 while surrounded by family at Meadville Medical Center. He was born to the late Joseph Anthony and Myrtle (Peterson) Anthony on January 1, 1937 in Geneva, PA. He was later adopted by the late Laurence See and Grace (Sloan) See. Wayne married Katherine Diane Moffatt on June 4, 1960. She survives him. He attended Jamestown High School until going to work at Blazon in Jamestown. He also worked as a junior foreman at Greenville Steel Car and retired from Viking Tool and Die. From a very young age he worked at his family’s dairy farm. Wayne was a very active member of Atlantic Community Church, where he was a trustee and an elder. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading his bible and working on jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his 4 children: a Son Dennis W. See of Harrisburgh, PA and his 4 children Courtney and her husband Jim; Christopher and his wife Emily; Joshua and his wife Jenison; Hannah. A Daughter Patty A. Hollabaugh and her husband Bill of Espyville, PA and their 3 children Steven and his significant other Katie; Brook and her significant other Brett; Karlie and her husband Jerry. A Son Ronald See of Hartstown, PA and his 3 children Kitiara and her significant other Cameron; Cassie and her significant other Tim; Zack. A Son Jeffrey A. See of Venango, PA. 10 Great-Grandchildren, Sophia, Adelaide, Hailey, James, Sydnie, Noah, Iris, Memphis, Jazmynne and Adryan. A sister, Dorris Schmitt of Atlantic, PA and a Brother Bruce Dygert and his wife Marjorie of Conneaut Lake, PA. And numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, David See and Carl See; 7 Siblings, Frannie, Joseph Jr., Claire, Marlin, Gene, Verda and Daryl; a Daughter-in-law Missi See; and a Brother-in-law John Schmitt.
Calling hours will be on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 4PM until 7PM at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Conneaut Lake, PA. An additional hour of calling will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 11AM until Noon at the funeral home. The funeral follows at Noon and is officiated by Pastor Harold Walton at the funeral home. Wayne will be laid to rest at McMichael Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316, Rocco R. Tedesco, III, Supervisor.
