Wayne "Ww" Midkiff

Wayne K. “W.W.” Midkiff, age 72, of Meadville, PA passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday January 29, 2021 at his residence.  WW was born on August 23, 1948 in Meadville to the late Charles Midkiff and Iva (Payne) Midkiff.  He was formerly married to Billie (Fyock) Midkiff, whom survives him and remained lifelong friends.

WW attended Saegertown High School.  He then worked for Ohio Rubber Company in Conneautville for 8 years until working for Meadville Forging Company for 32 years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Eagles Club, Meadville Club and the Italian Civic Club.  In his spare time he was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Wayne had the gift of "gab" and liked to talk about his fishing and hunting exploits to those that were interested (and those who weren't.)

Survivors include his 4 children, Wayne Midkiff  Jr. of Meadville, Bryan Midkiff and his wife, Teresa of New Philadelphia, OH, Trina VanGiesen and her husband, Rick of North East, PA and Tricia Holcombe and her husband, William of Meadville;  9 Grandchildren,  Danelle, Shelby, Zane, Nicolas, Joshua, Nicole, Justin, Nathan, A.J. and his wife, Brittany;  3 Siblings, William Earl Midkiff and his wife, Barbara of Meadville, Patricia Dougherty and her husband, Jeff of Meadville and Rex Midkiff of Meadville; a half-brother, Charles and a half- sister, Janice and several nieces and nephews.

WW was preceded in death by his parents; a half- brother, Anthony Midkiff and a very beloved Grandson, Shane Patterson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
