Wendy Scannell

Wendy Sue Scannell, age 58, of Meadville, PA passed away unexpectedly at Meadville Medical Center on Sunday August 23, 2026. Wendy was born on February 14, 1968 in Chardon, OH to Victor and Zelma (Speelman) Tracy. She married Scott Scannell on October 12, 1985. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2013.

Wendy was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a Philadelphia Eagles fan. She also enjoyed watching game shows.

She is survived by three children, David Scannell of Meadville, PA, Melissa Scannell of Meadville, PA and Shay and wife, Kristen Scannell of Harrisburg, PA; her grandchildren, Skyler, Kenneth, Ridge, Kymiah, Elyjah, Abigail, Hunter, Ryder and Liam; her parents, Victor Tracy and Zelma Tracy; one sister, Kim Tracy of Meadville, PA and one brother, Joe Evans of Meadville, PA.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kim Wright and her brother, Wayne Wright.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday August 27, 2026 from 11-1 pm and 3-5 pm at Hatheway Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335. Funeral will take place at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. A celebration of life dinner will take place at Kerrtown Community Center at 6 pm following the service.

Wendy will be laid to rest at Cooperstown Cemetery with her beloved husband.
