William Garvin, Sr.

William A. Garvin Sr., age 77, of Geneva, PA passed away August 12, 2020 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a short illness.  He was born on May 23, 1943 in Meadville, PA to the late William Henry and Elizabeth (Grinnell) Garvin.  He married Patricia Drake.  She survives.

William was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School.  He retired from ACI as a carpenter.  He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union.  He served in the United States Navy.

William enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, William Garvin and his wife, Linda of Geneva, PA and Lance Garvin and his wife, Tammy of Linesville, PA; three grandchildren, Brandon Garvin, Amanda Garvin and Melissa Stroup; six great-grandchildren, Thomas, Grayson, Winter, Ryder, Gavin and Kayliee; one sister, Barb Jacobs of FL and a niece, Ginger Hobson of FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A small family gathering will be held graveside at Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
