William Hunter

William S. Hunter, age 90, of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday December 14, 2021 at Crawford County Care Center.   He was born on May 1, 1931 in Guys Mills, PA to the late Nile and Estella May (Richard) Hunter.

William graduated from Guys Mills High School.  In his younger years he worked for Dunn Construction.  He then worked at Avtex Fibers.  William was very proud to serve in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War.  He was of the Mormon faith.  William was ordained as a High Priest and served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for many years.

William is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cliff, Ralph and Francis Hunter and his sisters, Ruth Peters and Pauline Humes.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday December 20, 2021 from 5-8 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Funeral service will take place on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Spencer Hill, Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Cemetery Chapel with military honors provider by Erie/Crawford Burial Detail.
