William Ruffley

William J. Ruffley, age 69 of Conneaut Lake, PA went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Cleveland, OH son of John and Mary (Brown) Ruffley.

William graduated from Voc Tech in New Castle in 1971.  He served three years with the Army.  He completed a course in TV and Radio repair from the Bell & Howell Correspondence School.  Then he got an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State and later an Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering.  He worked as a plumber at the Jameson Hospital for 12 ½ years.  Then he worked as a Plumbing Instructor for the Dept. of Corrections for 21 years until his retirement.

He was an active member of the Living Waters Church in Meadville, PA.  He also served as a Trustee for the Jervis Cemetery located outside of Cambridge Springs, PA.

Survivors include the love of his life (wife) Marilyn who he married in December 2008.  Three brothers:  John Ruffley of New Castle, PA; Tim Ruffley of Columbus, OH; Scott Ruffley of New Castle, PA.  Two sisters:  Romaine Ruffley of Boardman, OH and Nancy Reagle of New Castle, PA.  Two sons:  Jason Ruffley and Christopher Ruffley both of New Castle, PA.  Two grandsons:  Isaiah Ruffley of New Castle, PA and Jaden Wilkins of Saegertown, PA and three granddaughters of New Castle, PA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzan (Lockhart) Ruffley, parents, John and Mary Ruffley, and son, Gary Ruffley.

A memorial service will be on August 28, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, 339 South Main St., Cambridge Springs, PA.  Visitation from 11AM to Noon; Service at Noon; Luncheon to follow.
