William H. Schell

William H. "Bill" Schell Jr. age 60 of Cochranton, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, of a sudden illness, at his residence. Bill was born on November 28, 1954, at McDill Air Force Base, Tampa Florida, the son of the late William "Bill" H. Schell, Sr. and Barb Wheaton Schell (who survives) of Geneva. He married Joan McIntire of Cochranton, on December 12, 2002. She survives. Bill graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1972 and retired from PPG after 42 years of service. At PPG he was a packer operator and an inspector. Bill was of the protestant faith; was a member of the Moose Lodge #2505, VFW Post 2006, Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Company, and Station 4, and was a LIFE member of the NRA. Bill's many pastimes included: Karaoke, playing guitar, hunting, fishing, spending time with his new grandkids, and riding dirt bikes (in the past). Bill was proud to have gone to school with his close friend Kevin Feilder, he enjoyed playing music with his close friend John Lauffer and he also enjoyed riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes with his co-worker Jerry Miller. He was also proud of his degree in "Red Neck Engineering." Surviving Bill is his Wife-Joan, his Mother Barb, his three daughters: Jennifer Peterson and her husband Jed of Cochranton, Erica Seeley of Cochranton, Denise Law and her companion Scott of Arizona, two sons: W. John Schell and his fiancé Melissa of Cochranton, and Michael Schell and his wife Tia of Cochranton. Bill is survived by ten grandchildren: Gina Schell, Katherine Rombold, Matthew Seeley, Dylan Rombold, Shania Seeley, Lillian Kline, Tanner Schell, Will Schell III, Addison Schell, and Savanna Peterson. He is also survived by two brothers Victor Schell and his wife Gail of Springboro, and James Schell of Geneva. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by a brother Edward Schell, and a great- nephew Hunter Schell. Calling hours will be held at the Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Rocco R Tedesco III, Supervisor, 130 N. Second Street Conneaut Lake, on Sunday July 26, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1 P.M. with the Rev. Marshall Lillie of the Conneaut Valley Church of the Nazarene, Springboro, PA officiating. Interment will follow in Geneva Memorial Cemetery.
