William Snyder

William H.  Snyder, age 92, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at his residence.                 He was born April 23, 1925 in Duquesne, PA the son of the late Edwin and Katheryne Snyder. He married Ardith M. Hensel on February 24, 1946. She preceded him in death on September 8, 2016.                 He attended Duquesne High School.  He retired as a sales person with the Hillyard Company.  He worked for Hospital Baby Pictures during his retirement years in North Carolina.                  He was a United States Army Veteran. William was of the Protestant Faith and attended Victory Family Worship Center, and he attended the “over 50 dinner” and the “Men’s Prayer breakfast” at the church.  He really loved golfing and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as an avid Pittsburgh sports fan especially the Pirates and the Steelers.                 Survivors include a son; W. Gregory Snyder and his wife Lori, a son; Richard E. P. Snyder and his wife Liz and a daughter; Ardith K. VanHonk and her husband Kevin, six grandchildren; Drew VanHonk and his wife Mandy, Katie VanHonk, Molly King and her husband Aaron King, Emily Gangloff and her husband Joshua, Julie Snyder and Carly Snyder.  Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren Lilly VanHonk, Laurel VanHonk and Caleb Gangloff.                  In addition to his parents and his wife, William was preceded in death by two grandsons, Aaron Snyder and Jason Snyder.                 A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Victory Family Worship Center, 10670 State Highway 18, Conneaut Lake, PA, with Pastor Bruce Ladebu of Victory Family Worship Center and Pastor Don Reed of Crossing Paths Ministry, officiating.  Guests will be received before the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.                  In lieu of flowers please make memorial contribution to the Children’s Rescue Initiative (CRI) in Care of Victory Family Worship Center, 10670 State Highway 18, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.                   Arrangements are under the care of Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N.
