Wilma L. Walker, age 80, of the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown, died , peacefully there surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Wilma was born on May 19, 1935 in Meadville, the daughter of Leonard Dare Elliott and Edna Mae Boylan Elliott. She graduated from Cochranton High School in 1953. Wilma married Melvin Walker on March 10, 1953 in Carlton, PA. He preceded her in death, December 29, 1997. She retired from Crawford Central School System, where she was a baking supervisor. They had two daughters and two sons, and they survive: Andy Walker (Bonita), Dare Walker (Diane); Deann Sommers (Willis) and Tena Walker. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Wilma Louise Walker was also preceded in death by her twin brother, Leonard Elliott and two sisters: Uda Snyder and Esther Weaver. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 11, 2015, 11 am at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Conley, of the Meadville Alliance Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers; memorials could be made to the Supportive Care Unit of the Crawford County Care Center.
