Wilson Edward Tidd

Wilson "Bill" E. Tidd, age 75 of Meadville, PA passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born September 2, 1939 in Meadville, PA the son of the late Wilson L. and Althea Dawson Tidd. He graduated from Meadville Senior High School. He retired from the Dietary Department at Meadville Medical Center. Wilson enjoyed traveling with his brother Richard and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also ran the chains at the Meadville Area Senior High School home football games for the past 35 years. He is survived by four sisters: Evelyn (Tidd) Farley and her husband Raymond of Linesville, PA, Betty (Tidd) Dean of Charlotte, North Carolina, Nancy (Tidd) Mitch and her husband Richard of Charlotte, NC and Alice (Tidd) Keller and her husband Robert of Conneaut Lake, PA, a brother: Richard Tidd of Meadville, PA. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a brother-in-law: James Dean and a sister-in-law: Frances (Zajac) Tidd. Family and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 6 to 9 PM at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA. All are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor David Brumagin, officiating. Burial will be in Venango Cemetery.
