Yvonne Barrett

      Yvonne Barrett Stearns, age 75 of Frenchtown, passed away at her residence, surrounded by her family.  Yvonne was born on January 12, 1942 in Elk City, OK to the late Edward Barrett and Genevieve Toelle.  She married Lawrence E. Stearns Sr. on August 12, 1961.  Together they enjoyed 55 years of marriage.  Lawrence survives her.             Yvonne graduated from Alva High School, class of 1960.  She retired from the PA Department of Health and served in the Marine Corps for 2 years. Yvonne was of the Catholic faith.             In addition to her husband, Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Yvette Stearns of Penn Hills and a son Lawrence E. Stearns Jr. and his wife Deborah of Frenchtown.  A grandchild Genevieve Warwick and 2 Great-Grandchildren Ronald and Layla Warwick.  Also surviving are a Sister Caroline Snyder of Amarillo, TX, and 2 Brothers; Randy Barrett of White Deer, TX and George Barrett of Aurora, CO.             Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Shirley Whisman and a brother, Edward Barrett.              The family would like a special acknowledgement to go to Father Dan Perez of St. Hippolyet’s Church for coming to the home to administer last rites to Yvonne.              Arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions can be made to the family in care of the funeral home.  Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St. Meadville, PA 16335.  Please sign the online guestbook at hatheway-tedesco.com
