Zeline Euler

Zeline E. Euler, 81 of Meadville passed away on May 17, 2019 at her residence.  She was born in Meadville on April 12, 1938, the daughter of Conrad K and Zeline (Theuret) Euler.

Zeline graduated from Meadville High School in 1956 and from Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in 1959.  She obtained her B.S. Degree from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terra Haute, Indiana in 1980.

She was employed at Spencer Hospital in numerous capacities such as; staff nurse, head nurse, supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing.  She opened and worked the Cardiac Treatment Center from 1974 – 1980.  She remained Assistant Director of Nursing throughout the consolidation of Spencer Hospital and Meadville City Hospital into Meadville Medical Center and retired as Risk Manager at Meadville Medical Center after 43 years of service.

In her retirement years, Zeline remained active with down-hill skiing and golf.

She was a member of St. Agatha Church.  She served as a Eucharistic minister at Wesbury UM Home and Meadville Medical Center.

She was also associated with the Sisters of St. Joseph of NW PA and managed St. James Haven in Meadville for many years.

Zeline is survived by her niece, Christine Euler DeBraal and her husband, Bill and her nephew, Robert Euler, all of Florida; three great-nieces, Kelsey, Emily and Katie; a sister-in-law, Jean and many-many very close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Russel l E., Frederick K., and C. Jack Euler.

At Zeline’s request there will be no calling hours.  Cremation with burial will take place at St. Agatha Cemetery.

Zeline will be remembered at St. Agatha’s Saturday, May 25, 2019 4:30 p.m. regular mass.
