Cathy A Unger

Cathy Ann Unger, age 71, of Harmonsburg, PA passed away peacefully December 6, 2024 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. She was born in Meadville, PA to the late William and Lois (Bortner) Getz.   She married Richard Unger June 25, 1977. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2018.

Cathy was a 1970 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School.  After high school, she went on to beauty school.  Cathy retired from Heatrex of Meadville where she was a supervisor.

Cathy was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman Club, Lineville American Legion Post 462 and the auxiliary, and Linesville VFW Post 7842 and the auxiliary. She mostly enjoyed going and socializing with her family and friends.

Cathy is survived by her three sons, Jason Unger and his significant other, Adrian, of Harmonsburg, PA, Troy (Carolyn) Unger of Cochranton, PA, and Mark Unger of Meadville, PA; three daughters,  Tracey (Roger) Roush of Erie, PA, Marlene (Mike)  Shorey of Morresville, NC and Amy Bernoski (companion Greg Pacansky)  of East Springfield, PA; and numerous grandchildren and great grand-grandchildren; and one sister Cheryl Howard(Brandon) of Conneaut Lake, PA.

In addition to her husband Richard and her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by numerous aunt and uncles.

Per Cathy’s wishes, there will be no public services.
