Charles Zimmer

Charles “Chuck” W. Zimmer, age 88, of Blooming Valley, PA passed away on Friday May 31, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.  He was born on November 27, 1935 in Meadville, PA to the late Floyd and Autumn (Kuhn) Zimmer.  He married the love of his life, Wanada “Gail” Brenner on December 22, 1958. She preceded him in death on November 20, 2016.

Chuck attended Saegertown High School.  He served in the United States Army from 1958-1960.  He then worked at Greenleaf Corporation in the Heat Treat department for over 40 years. After his retirement, he did deliveries for Peterson’s Auto Supply for the last 28 years.

He was a member of the Saegertown American Legion and served as an officer for the Crawford County Coon Hunter’s Association.  He enjoyed hunting alongside his wife, Gail for both deer and coon.  He also enjoyed traveling and cherished the memories of traveling and visiting all 50 states with Gail.

Chuck is survived by his siblings, Stan Zimmer of Conneautville, PA, June Hays, Don Zimmer (Nancy) and Christine Walker all  of Meadville, PA; his  brother-in-law, Norm Brenner (Jennetta) of VA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday June 3, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  Funeral service will take place at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Loren Little officiating.  Chuck will be laid to rest with his wife at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
