Larry Hetrick

January 14, 1946 — August 24, 2024

Larry K. Hetrick Sr, age 78, of Meadville PA passed away in his family home surrounded by family in Hartstown, PA on August 24, 2024.  He was born January 14, 1946 in Punxsutawney, PA to the late Kenneth T. and Margaret E. (Bush) Hetrick.  He was engaged to Wanda (Sue) Sharpe. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2024.

Larry attended Conneaut Lake High School. He worked as a foreman at Sharon Steel until his retirement.  He was of Methodist Faith.  Larry was an avid hunter and trapper, fishing and gardening. He had a green thumb and could grow anything. He was an all-around outdoorsman.  He used to run a maple syrup line. Larry loved Harley-Davidsons, spending time with his friends and his beloved cats.

Larry is survived by his 2 daughters; Linda Middleton (Pam Christenson) of Hartstown, PA  and LaTonya Jones (George Jr)  of Greenville, PA, 2 sons; Larry K. Hetrick Jr M.D. of Novato, CA and David Derr of Niles, OH; five grandchildren; Justin Middleton (Kaci), Jonathan Middleton, Kayla Eisler (Jared), Kenneth Jones, and Sam Katzman, one brother; Charles Hetrick of Conneaut Lake, PA and 4 great grandchildren; Jade Middleton, Maxamus Middleton, Lainey Middleton and Emmett Eisler.

In addition to his parents and his fiancé, Larry was preceded in death by his brother David, and his granddaughter Jessica Middleton.

Per the family’s wishes, there are no services at this time.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. 2nd Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16335 with Rocco R. Tedesco III, Supervisor.
