Patricia Gilson

Patricia Arlene Gilson, age 80, of Warren, OH passed away peacefully at Gillette Nursing Home on Monday August 12, 2024. She was born on November 20, 1943 in Connellsville, PA to the late John H. and Goldie Marie Lowry. She married Ralph L. Gilson and they were married for 34 years. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2005.

Patricia graduated from Dunbar Township High School in 1961. She worked for American Viscose Corporation for 20 years, American General Life Insurance in Warren, OH and she also worked for The Warren Tribune for 5 years.

She was involved with the Connellsville Salvation Army Corp and was also a longtime member of the Salvation Army Corp in Warren, OH where she also played French Horn. She loved to travel and spend time with family and friends and she enjoyed visiting wineries.

Patricia is survived by her children, R. Scott Gilson and his wife, Marissa Cervone-Gilson of Meadville, PA, Dustin Lee Gilson of Warren, OH and Susanne Marie Swanson and her fiancé, Richard Rowe of Warren, OH and her step-children, Ruth DeJohn and her partner, Chuck Provost of Meadville, PA, Randy Gilson of Pittsburgh, PA, Rodney Gilson and his wife, Amy of Carlisle, PA, Roselyn Marhoefer of Erie, PA, Rainy Howell of Meadville, PA and Ricky Gilson and his wife, Donna of Meadville, PA; her grandchildren, Nickalaus Gilson and his fiancé, Melissa Shorts, Makenzie Gilson and Dalton Gilson and his wife, Rachel and a great grandson, Waylon Gilson. She was also blessed with 9 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and 3 great great step grandchildren and her brother, Lee Lowry and his wife, Janet of Idaho Falls, ID.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, John N. Lowry and his wife, Barbara and her son-in-law, John DeJohn.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday August 16, 2024 from 12-2 pm at Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin St., Meadville, PA 16335.  A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg, PA.
