Robert Harrison

Robert James Harrison, age 86, of Sperry Rd., Atlantic, PA passed away peacefully on Monday April 17, 2023 at Marquette Hospice House.  He was born on May 24, 1936 in Long Branch, NJ to the late James Robert and Anna Veronica (Murray) Harrison.  He married Betty Lucille Morian on August 24, 1957.  She survives.

Robert attended Saegertown High School and then joined the US Marine Corps.  He proudly served his country from 1953-1956.  He then worked for Viscose and GE as a machine operator.

Robert was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed working funeral dinners and ushering.  He also enjoyed golfing and going to his grandson’s truck pulls.  He was a fan of Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Pirates and Steelers.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, Betty, he is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lea Harrison of Atlantic, PA and his 4 sons, Jeffrey Robert Harrison of Espyville, PA, James Robert Harrison and his wife, Lori of Meadville, PA, John Murray Harrison and his wife, Esther of Hartstown, PA and Joseph Michael Harrison of Atlantic, PA; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Douglas R. Harrison.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Robert will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of the Americas cemetery.
