Sandra Nelson

Sandy Nelson, age 81, of Conneaut Lake, PA passed away on Tuesday April 29, 2025. She was born on May 4, 1943 in Mercer, PA to the late John and Wilma (Brophy) Harton. She married Allan Katz in 1962. She was later remarried to Robert Nelson on December 14, 1984. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2024.

Sandy worked for most of her life as a waitress and hostess at various restaurants. One of her favorites was called “Broken Drum” in Santa Monica, CA. That also happened to where she met and fell in love with Bob.

She enjoyed listening to FOX news and being at the lake-enjoying both the beach and boating. She also adored her cats.

Sandy is survived by her beloved son, Stephen Katz of North Hills, CA and her granddaughter, Sarah Katz of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Gwen and Cathy and two brothers, Tim and Bobby and her former spouse, Allan Katz of Seal Beach, CA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

There will be no public services.

Sandy will be laid to rest with her husband at Evergreen Cemetery in Harmonsburg, PA.
