Russell D. "Bus" Kennedy

Bus Kennedy, along with H. Wayne Drake, opened the Drake-Kennedy Funeral Home in January 1948. Mr. Drake died suddenly soon after the opening of the funeral home.

Bus Kennedy and his wife, Lucille, operated the funeral home as Kennedy Funeral Home until Mr. Kennedy's death in 1968.

Charles Hatheway

Chuck Hatheway was Bus Kennedy's long-time associate and friend. After Mr. Kennedy's death, Charles was given the opportunity to purchase the funeral home from Mrs. Kennedy. Charles and Lola "Sue" Hatheway changed the name of the funeral home to Hatheway Funeral Home in 1968.

Chuck and Sue sold the funeral home in 1976 to a former intern, Richard Tedesco. Dick and his wife, Arlene, have owned and operated the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home since 1976.
