She immigrated to the USA in 1930 with her family and became a citizen shortly thereafter. She remained fluent in both the Polish and English languages. She was a member of the Layman's Home Missionary Movement Church. She was an avid gardener and won blue ribbons for her embroidery.

Martha worked at American Viscose Company for 39 years. She was a member and deacon of the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer. Martha was a volunteer, both for the RSVP program; and at the Meadville Soup Kitchen. She loved her church and her Lord, and was a very loving and giving Christian Lady.
